Terms of Use — DoodlePet

1 Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of DoodlePet, a mobile application ("App") developed and published by Colazul Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). By downloading or using DoodlePet, you agree to these Terms.

DoodlePet is designed for children ages 4–10. If you are a parent or guardian allowing your child to use this App, you agree to these Terms on their behalf and are responsible for their use of the App.

2 License to Use the App

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use DoodlePet on Apple devices you own or control, solely for personal, non-commercial, family entertainment purposes.

This license does not include the right to:

Modify, adapt, or create derivative works of the App
Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
Use the App for any commercial purpose or for public display
Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from the App
Transfer, sublicense, or resell the App or any rights therein

3 In-App Purchases

DoodlePet offers optional in-app purchases including the Starter Pack, Token Refills, Pro Monthly subscription, and Canvas Pack expansions. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit 2.

Non-Consumable Purchases (Starter Pack, Canvas Packs) These are permanent, one-time purchases tied to your Apple ID. They can be restored on any device signed into the same Apple ID via the "Restore Purchases" option in the App.

Consumable Purchases (Token Refills) Token refills are consumed as you use them. They are non-refundable once used. By purchasing tokens, you acknowledge they have no real-world monetary value and cannot be transferred, sold, or exchanged.

Auto-Renewable Subscription (Pro Monthly) The Pro Monthly subscription automatically renews each month at the stated price until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through your Apple ID settings (Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused portions of a subscription period.

⚠️ Parental Notice: DoodlePet contains in-app purchases. We recommend parents review their device's parental controls and Screen Time settings to manage or restrict purchases. Apple's Ask to Buy feature can require parental approval before any purchase is completed.

All pricing is displayed in your local currency as provided by the App Store. We reserve the right to change prices at any time, with changes effective upon posting in the App Store.

Refund requests for App Store purchases must be directed to Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not process refunds directly.

4 AI-Generated Content

DoodlePet uses artificial intelligence technology provided by OpenAI to transform photographs of hand-drawn artwork into styled digital characters. By using the transformation feature, you acknowledge:

AI-generated results may vary and are not guaranteed to match expectations
Generated images may be stylistically interpreted differently than intended
AI output is not reviewed by a human before delivery to you
We are not responsible for AI-generated content that does not meet your expectations

The original drawing photographs and resulting AI-generated images are owned by you and stored only on your device. We claim no ownership over your drawings or the AI-transformed versions of them.

You may not use DoodlePet to generate content that is illegal, harmful, or violates any applicable law. The App's prompts are designed to produce child-safe content; intentional misuse to generate inappropriate content is prohibited and may result in termination of access.

5 Intellectual Property

DoodlePet, including its design, artwork, mascot character, user interface, features, and branding, is the intellectual property of Colazul Labs and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other applicable laws.

Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you except the limited license described in Section 2.

6 Ads and Free Tier

The free tier of DoodlePet includes advertising served by Google AdMob with child-directed treatment enabled. Ads are served in compliance with applicable children's advertising regulations including COPPA and Google's Families Policy.

Advertising is removed for users who have purchased the Starter Pack or maintain an active Pro Monthly subscription.

We are not responsible for the content of third-party advertisements, though we have configured our ad serving to comply with family-safe standards.

7 Disclaimer of Warranties

DoodlePet is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

We do not warrant that AI transformations will produce any particular result, style, or quality. The AI transformation feature depends on third-party services (OpenAI) that may be unavailable, changed, or discontinued at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all implied warranties including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

8 Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Colazul Labs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use DoodlePet, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of purchased content, or loss of AI transformation results.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $10, whichever is greater.

9 Apple Terms

DoodlePet is distributed through the Apple App Store. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's App Store Terms of Service. These Terms are between you and Colazul Labs only — Apple is not a party to these Terms and has no obligation to provide support or warranty for the App.

Apple has no responsibility for any claims relating to the App, including product liability, consumer protection, or intellectual property infringement claims.

10 Termination

We reserve the right to discontinue DoodlePet or restrict access to the App at any time, with or without notice. In the event the App is discontinued, purchased non-consumable IAPs and subscriptions will no longer function, and we will not be liable for refunds except as required by applicable law.

You may stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device.

11 Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will update the "Last Updated" date when we do. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

For material changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the App or App Store release notes.

12 Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Pinellas County, Florida.
