1 Who We Are

DoodlePet is developed and published by Colazul Labs ("we," "us," or "our"). DoodlePet is a mobile application available on the Apple App Store for iPhone and iPad that allows children to photograph hand-drawn creatures and transform them using AI into cartoon characters.

This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information in connection with DoodlePet. We are committed to protecting the privacy of all users, especially children.

2 Children's Privacy (COPPA)

DoodlePet is designed for children ages 4โ€“10. We take children's privacy seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and applicable international children's privacy laws.

โœ… DoodlePet does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information from children. There are no accounts, no profiles, no names, no emails, and no location data collected from child users.

All creature data, images, and app state are stored locally on the user's device only. We do not operate any server that receives or stores user data.

3 Information We Process

DoodlePet processes the following limited information to deliver its core features:

๐Ÿ“ธ Drawing Images (OpenAI API) When a user photographs their drawing and requests an AI transformation, the image is transmitted securely (HTTPS) to OpenAI's API for processing. The transformed image is returned and saved locally on the device. We do not store images on our own servers. OpenAI's handling of API data is governed by their Privacy Policy and API usage terms.
๐Ÿ“ข Advertising (Google AdMob) DoodlePet displays ads on the free tier only. We use Google AdMob with child-directed treatment enabled. This means:
  • No personalized or behavioral advertising
  • No interest-based ad targeting
  • No cross-app tracking of children
  • Only contextually appropriate, family-safe ads are served
  • Ads do not appear for users who have purchased the Starter Pack or Pro subscription
AdMob's data practices are governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
๐Ÿ’ณ In-App Purchases (Apple StoreKit 2) All purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We do not receive, handle, or store payment information. Purchase records are managed by Apple's App Store and StoreKit 2 framework. Apple's Privacy Policy governs these transactions.
๐Ÿ“ฒ Device-Local Storage The app stores creature images, app preferences, and purchase entitlements locally in your device's app sandbox (Documents directory and UserDefaults). This data never leaves your device except as described above.

4 What We Do NOT Do

5 Camera Permission

DoodlePet requests access to your device's camera and photo library to allow users to photograph their hand-drawn creatures. This is the core function of the app.

Photos taken within the app are saved locally on your device only. The image is transmitted to OpenAI solely for the purpose of AI transformation as described in Section 3. Images are not shared with any other third party.

You can revoke camera permission at any time in your device's Settings app. The app will continue to function for viewing existing creatures; new transformations will not be possible without camera access.

6 Third-Party Services

DoodlePet integrates the following third-party services. Each operates under its own privacy policy:

OpenAI Image transformation API. openai.com/policies/privacy-policy
Google AdMob Child-directed advertising (free tier only). policies.google.com/privacy
Apple App Store / StoreKit 2 In-app purchase processing. apple.com/legal/privacy

7 Parental Rights

Because DoodlePet stores all data locally on the device and does not collect personal information from children, there is no centralized data to access, correct, or delete. All creature data can be removed by deleting the app from the device.

Parents with questions or concerns about their child's use of DoodlePet are welcome to contact us using the information in Section 9.

8 Data Security and Retention

We do not operate servers that store user data. The only data transmitted to external services are drawing images sent to OpenAI during transformation. These transmissions are encrypted via HTTPS.

All app data is retained locally on your device until you delete the app or the relevant data within it. Deleting the app removes all locally stored creature images and app state.

9 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

For material changes affecting children's data, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the app or App Store release notes.
